Xia got involved with WAEE as part of the advocacy committee and intends to join more committees and encourage environmental education within her community. Her work experience includes being an intern at Compost Crusaders where she plans and attends events. Not only does this allow her the opportunity to network but also help the earth by diverting thousands of tons of food waste every year. In her free time, she competes in pageants where she won the 2022 Miss New Berlin S.T.E.M award. She hopes to continue her path in the environmental field by educating others on the necessary changes needed for a sustainable community.
